WOW What a day!!
If you came to my event on Sunday (December 2nd) I can not ‘Thank You’ enough!
It was an incredible day from start to finish and ended with us tallying up what we believe was around 1,000 guests! Planning these events is slowly becoming my main focus in terms of a career choice, they take up a considerable amount of time and are extremely hard work but I LOVE them! I always wondered what it was I would end up doing, I wanted to teach art, then I wanted to be an interior designer, a photographer… to be honest the list goes on. I spent a long time wondering why I couldn’t pin point exactly what I was cut out to do (besides being a mama) should I make something? Should I open an online shop? Nothing felt right!
The Mama Meet & Market combines so many things that I am good at, it gives me the chance to host, work closely with people, support small business and most importantly (to me) it gives me creative opportunity. I knew that If I could find a job in which I could scratch that creative itch then I would be happy.
This last event ‘Festive Family Market’ saw around 65 businesses come together to offer a unique shopping experience for families, where no parent would struggle in any sense because we create a family friendly experience. We cover all bases such as making the space buggy friendly, we offer our own changing facilities complete with complimentary nappies, we provide children’s entertainment and even minding services. Each event I plan to grow these needs just as we grow as parents and our needs change. The event specialises in showcasing brands that are mostly geared around families, however Christmas time is the perfect time to throw things for everyone in the mix. So we had a wide variety of stall holders with us! Of which I am going to share with you now….
