Mama Meet & Market- Another success!

The 3rd Mama meet & Market is done and dusted, what a fabulous day! I am sad its over but its time to re-live the day through the beautiful pictures that @thosegirls.co just sent over (social story tellers indeed) these images are perfect and highlight all the amazing elements that the day holds. Thank you Mirlah

If your new to the concept then The Mama meet & Market is a chance to showcase some incredible Independant businesses, most of which only sell online, and create a space thats suitable for families to come along and shop till they drop! Its as simple as that! After 3 years of collaborating with lots of small businesses through Instagram & my blog I wanted to make a virtual world more tangible, the events do just that as they create a space for online relationships to blossom in real life. This event was held on June 24th at Derby University 11am-4pm and it held over 50 stall holders. There was the chance to book a mini photoshoot with HFG Photography, get your face painted with Magical Faces, enjoy Derbyshires famous Bluebells ice cream, shop gifts for all the family, play in the soft play area and meet/shop lots of beautiful and unique products and gifts.

Each market has 30 jam packed goody bags which are up for grabs for some of the first people in the entry queue, these bags are filled with contributions from more small businesses who have gifted products for you to enjoy! This is the first event in which there was a Freebie station that was a little shop for market goers to help themselves to treats that were also Kindly donated, the station was sponsored by My Little Piccolo who displayed the new Piccolo pots perfect for adding texture into your weaning journey, Bensons The Juicers who gave us lots and lots of refreshing natural juice, Babease who provided the event with unlimited puree pouches in a variety of flavours, Baker Ross (the ultimate craft supplies website) gave us an activity pack for little ones to do at home and my favourite local Coffee and Gift shop Katherines provided us with sweet popcorn bags. I LOVE that I could provide this station at the event as I know not getting your hands on a goody bag can be disappointing and this way there was something for everyone.

The event has always been styled by the wonderful Tara Knott at Tickety Boo Events, this time was no exception as she created stunning summer feels across the space to make everyone feel the sunshine indoors. I love that with each event Tara creates a magical little space for the little ones to take photos and have fun!

This event saw the most stall holders yet, I love that with each event the reserve list gets longer and I can showcase to you all the talented people that are behind these businesses. With each event I love that the variety keeps getting better, I really do believe that the Market element has a little something for everyone that way you can bring along Mothers, Sisters, Husbands, Wives, Grandmas etc and everyone will see something they just have to have!

By popular demand... here is a linked list to all the stall holders that took part in the last event... Enjoy!

A HUGE 'Thank you' to everyone that took part in the market, the people behind the scenes, the staff at the University for being so amazing. I think you will agree the larger venue suits the event well and I am so excited to plan The Mama meet & Christmas Market that will be taking place the first weekend in December (More info to follow) If you are interested in being involved in the next market please get in touch, you can follow the link HERE to fill out an application to become a stall holder or if you wish to discuss other options then please email me on lifewithoaksandolive@gmail.com

Finally a HUGE thank you for all that attended the event, the pictures that you uploaded to the #mamameetandmarket hashtag have not gone unnoticed, the amazing feedback about what you loved about the day... all feedback is always welcome!

I REALLY hope I get to see you in December...
